TEL-TipsTEL Tips

Renee shares the trends and best practices she is seeing in the marketplace.

Sourcing: When looking for a meeting planner partner, look for a true strategic partner. I like working with my clients in truly understand the event goals, understanding the 3 and 5 year plans and helping build to the strategy.

Communication for meeting and events is crucial. I work with my clients on making sure we over communicate with each other and provide the key information to attendees, speaker, sponsors, etc. The more everyone feels prepared before they walk into the meeting, the better experience we all have.

Key Investments: Production is a key area to really invest in creating a great space. The proper production quality and if you have great images, lighting and sound you can make an event really memorable. It is the key to the look and feel of your entire event. Your content is what people remember the most.

Timing is Everything: One thing to look out for in planning an event that truly builds community is to make sure to protect the agenda and build in down time. I often see packed agendas and those meetings can fall short. The best conferences I have seen take into account some down time and true connection time for attendees to enjoy the full experience.
