POSITION: Marketing and Sales Specialist

We are growing and seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Sales Specialist with at least 5 years experience to join our team at The Event Lounge, a premiere, full-service, event production company based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves supporting our sales and marketing efforts to drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, and manage client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a passion for innovation and client service with a strong background in both marketing and sales strategies. This role will work closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing to make high-level decisions regarding brand presence and advertising campaigns as well as measuring and analyzing the return on investment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our event production services.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels including social media, email, and digital advertising.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, including social media promotions, email blasts, and partnerships.
- Develop engaging content for marketing collateral and online platforms.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Marketing to identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
- Assist in the creation of sales materials, proposals, and presentations tailored to potential clients.
- Track and manage client interactions using Salesforce to ensure follow-up and nurturing of leads.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide timely information regarding our services and event offerings.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for business growth.
- Gather and analyze feedback from clients and stakeholders to improve our service offerings.
- Event Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of promotional events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Assist with on-site event management as needed to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing, sales, or event management, preferably within the event production industry.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and sales techniques.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or weekends as needed for events.
Other skills needed:
- Possess the level of creativity needed to create original multi-media content for use on multiple platforms
- Ability to create visual content in Canva
- Be proficient in the Adobe Suite
- Be especially proficient with Word Press to make website updates, blog entries, photo uploads, etc.
- Proficient with Office 365
- Knowledge of internet marketing campaigns, including SEO
- Extensive experience with social media – multimedia content creation, ability to recognize trends and stay ahead of them
- Remain abreast of marketing trends. Determine effectiveness of trending styles and strategies for the business units
- Regularly research competitors to stay current with product and service offerings in the marketplace
- Work with VP Sales & Marketing to develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current clients engaged with our brands
- Maintain a successful brand image that engages customers with our products and services
- Develop marketing strategies for new product and service offerings that comply with the company standards
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative approach when working with others
- Time management and organization to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while being effective and efficient
- Not required, but a Bonus: Experience in videography and editing skills in i-Movie
